Portraits of the Palette 2017
Ali Hasmut
Is this the golden age of painting at the Palette and Chisel? It's pretty hard to top the artists of one hundred years ago. But when considering our variety of good painting - we're looking pretty good.

"Portrait of a Wise Man"
Valerie Stanaszek
A scholar of both Torah and Karl Marx, Misha Livshulz, the model for both of the above portraits, is indeed a wise man - as well as a good painter, sculptor, and, of course, handsome model.
But even more importantly - he has ventilated the coach house, repaired the kiln, built several modeling stands, and developed his own, unique recipe for sauerkraut.
