An Edwardian Lecture Series

About a hundred years ago, when the P&C was still in the Athenaeum building, the club hosted a series of lectures. Some of the postcard announcements are preserved in the files. Otto Hake was the speaker at a number of them, but Wilson Irvine also gave a talk, as did Carl Mauch, R. W. Grafton, A. E. Hayden, Marcus Stowe Hill, and Thomas O'Shaughnessy. Sad to say, a public lecture series on art isn't in the cards for the Palette's membership now, although you have to wonder how the idea would go over these days.

Here are the postcards that I have found. Note that only two of them give the year, one for 1908 and one for 1910:
