Nicola Veronica (1915-1979)
(that's MR. Nicola Veronica)
won the Palette and Chisel Gold Medal award
for his above painting of
"The Showboat Goldenrod"

The painting is now in the collection of William Mills
(who kindly sent us the image)
and the Goldenrod
is currently moored off Gratiot St.
in St. Louis
awaiting its fate.
