April 9, 1940 meeting minutes: "Of special interest was Mr. Veronica's report of his obtaining the offer of two $25.00 merchandise gifts per year from Mr. C. W. Bidwell of Favor Ruhl & Co., to be used as prizes for work to be done in our studio classes."

His full name was Nicola Veronica. Thus the confusion.
