Pascal Crucq At S.O.F.A.

Every year, Chicago and New York host an exhibit of "Sculptural Objects & Functional Art" -- i.e. the high-end decorative stuff that doesn't require the rhetoric of contemporary art theory -- and is just supposed to look good.

What a fine idea ! -- especially for the Palette and Chisel (if only there were another such exhibit at Navy Pier devoted to painting and drawing)

And this year -- for the first time that I've noticed -- the exhibit included the work of a Palette and Chisel member, Pascal Crucq --- including many of the pieces that he made in our coach house and recently showed at 1012 N. Dearborn.

(these three panels were marked "sold" when I visited on Saturday)
