The Athenaeum Building
Before moving to 1012 N. Dearborn in 1921, the P&C rented studio space in the Athenaeum building in the loop. The Athenaeum building was on Van Buren between Michigan and Wabash (across the street from where the American Academy of Art is located today). The club moved within the Athenaeum building a few times, and I think that the street address of the building changed in about 1909 when the street numbers in Chicago were changed.
At any rate, here is a photo of the old Athenaeum building. After much looking, I found this in the on-line archive of Chicago Daily News Photos from the years 1902 to 1933.
