Whenever art returns
to being about something
more important
than itself,
Walter Parke will be much better known
than he is today.
What do you mean by "to being about something more important than itself"?
ReplyDeleteOver the past hundred years, the question "can this be art?" has become more important than questions like "what does XXX" look like.
ReplyDeleteSo artists have been offering things that might make that question interesting.
But eventually, like every other ideology, this one will run out of steam.
